Absolute

Disdain living in comparison
Like living in the absolute.
I am happy. In an absolute way. Not in comparison with my neighbour.
I am rich. Again in an aboslute way. Can afford what I want.
I am paid well. For the effort i put in.
There may be always be people who are more or less happy, rich, better paid or under paid.
At an absolute level it doesn't matter.
However I am undertall and overweight in comparison. And it matters :(

"Undertall and Overweight" :-)

You do know, nobody has absolutely everthing. And besides if height and weight isn't relative, what is?

If you ask me, I think you're absolutely great. Honest!

Hmmmm...nice thought...we should know when we look at things in isolation if it is good or enough...?? But that doesnt darned happen...!!!...We know the measure of our satisfaction only when we see it in comparison to others...isnt it...?..I got X amount as bonus...but I dont know if m satisfied or not until i know what the other person got...y is that...strange but true...Nupur..

that girl in pink : I think you too suffer from the same problem. Anyways, for people who want to come first, second place is no good. It's almost like they have failed. And I think, learning to float you need to look beyond all these things, as eventually it's in your brain and everyone doesnt get everything. Do you think you would be happier, if you could be taller and thinner, but with no money-- I think not.
So learn to be happy with what you have. And think of the people who are worse of than you, again getting you back to the relativity theory that you spoke about.

Have fun in your life, which is the most important thing. Enjoy. Live and let live.

girl in pink: it sucks that weight and height are relative and the human mind is so formed to judge people on as little as ten percent differences: as in what is the difference between someone who is 5 feet nothing and 5 feet six inches.

nupur: i know . why can it not stop making a difference

anonymous: even though i don't want to be rude and turn away anyone, no matter how annoying, who visits my blog had to say this
"You will never feel tall by making someone else feel short"
so there you go

for the rest: if you are wondering i am not 5 feet nothing . that was just an example to illustrate my point :)!
